Why not try it my way
The day of rest
Sunday is typically the day of rest
The day of eating
The day of ‘slothing’ around
And the day of panicking that you blew your diet and have to start dieting again tomorrow!
Are you familiar with this cycle?
Many many people today will be running through the rigmarole of this cycle
So much so in fact
That it has reached habitual proportions
You know in your heart of hearts…..
That even if you start your diet again tomorrow
You will have fallen off your wagon by Wednesday (maybe Thursday if you’re feeling strong this week)
And by Friday, all good intentions are gone with the wind
As you anticipate the start of the weekend
The time where you can blow caution to the wind
And eat, drink and be merry….
I know this cycle
Because I have lived this cycle
And far be it from me to encourage you to have less fun….
But I want to question you
- Are you happy?
- Are you feeling healthy?
- Are you confident in your choices?
I know that I wasn’t
When I was living my life like that
- I know that I was the MOST unhappy that I have ever been
- I felt the MOST unhealthy that I ever had felt
- And I had the LEAST confidence in my choices
The approach that I talk about with my members is a far cry from what you would expect
I’ve toiled over the years to develop an approach that allows you to literally ‘have your cake and eat it too’
An approach that is flexible
That encourages you to socialise, have fun and eat out
That gives you confidence in all of your choices
Knowing that we are creating a foundation of HEALTH and HAPPINESS in our work together
I know that this approach sounds too good to be true
And everyone else is telling you that you must DIET and RESTRICT yourself to lose weight
But I argue…..we still have the most terrifying and intimidating obesity problem (perhaps in the world!)
Despite all of these diets
Despite all of this knowledge that we have
So perhaps it is not at all about knowledge
Perhaps an approach where we look at the individual (you) and make the changes that are specific to your life
- A life where you can socialise without guilt
- A life where you can have fun without shame
- A life where you can get weight loss results without cutting out all of the things that you love to do!
