It’s far too easy to compare to other people!!!
If you want better mental health
If you want better control over your emotions
If you want better physical health and well-being
If you want to be able to manage your weight-loss without the YO-YO
A good place to start (without spending a penny)….
…..is to come off social media and start focusing on YOU
Social media is a big mess of confusing and conflicting information
It makes it incredibly easy to compare your life to other peoples life (and come up feeling short)
If you are going to look at other people for your inspiration, I would encourage you to get out and MEET REAL PEOPLE
So that you can see there are no filters, there are no masks
You can more easily recognise what is REAL vs what is made up to make you feel inferior
Most of our friends are NOT trying to make us feel inferior
But just seeing the time line filled with everyone’s HIGH LIGHTS makes us feel like we should be living like this too
In reality everyone is having a bad day and a bad time sometimes….
It’s just a part of being human and living in this world
BUT if you are not seeing that
If you are JUST seeing the HIGH LIGHTS it gives a false sense of what everyone else is going through
When you feel bad
When you feel down
When you feel frustrated
The last thing that you really need to see is how AMAZING everyone else seems to be doing
It appears like everyone else is coping really well with everything all of the time
And when you are stuck or struggling….that can be really hard to swallow
So my advice…..get yourself OFF social media
Start meeting people in real life and talk to them
Share how you feel
Ask them how they really feel
You might be surprised (or not) to find out that everyone else has STUFF to deal with
And that life isn’t made up of rainbows and unicorns!
